Queuing Enhancements
- Enterprise EMail Manager contains in addition, priority based EMail Queues. All other versions come with standard First In-First Out queues. What are priority queues? If you have a EMail job running on your portal that has to go out NOW, but there are 3 Email jobs scheduled ahead of it—you can set the priority higher of the one you need out fast, so that it bumps the other emails down in the list. This can be done at Email setup, or dynamically.
- Queue Algorithms are now providers as well allowing for customized development of queuing / scheduling within EMail Manager.
- Improved multiprocessor and task pipelining through the queues, using a command message queue and shared static storage across all threads with appropriate reader/writer locks to handle multi-processor contention.
- WebServices now handle the queue command and control for webfarms and multiple IIS instanced DNN installations.
Mail Delivery Enhancements
- Email Manager 2.5 Enterprise comes standard with CHILKAT Email Transport. This provides rich functionality for emails including multi-part, bounce handling, and speed increases over System.Web.Mail.
- Email Manager 2.5/2.6 now offer ASPEMail Mail Transport. This mail transport works in conjunction with your ISP's ASPEmail Server.
- Enterprise Mail Transports will now dispatch SMS Messages.
- Mail transports (excluding CDONTS) will now support multi-part E-Mails.
- ChilKat Mail Transport now fully supports MHTML Emails (multi-part MIME encoded emails) from either the HTML content, or a webpage URL.
